During the lights festival (full moon of November), the pagodas are
illuminated with candles. The Shwedagon pagoda in Yangon is
surrounded with more than 9 000 candles or oil lamps. The festival starts at the sunset
and last until 4.00 in the morning. During the night, a weaving contest,
                    is organized within the pagoda.
