Les bols à offrandes sont remplis de céréales et de nourriture pour être offertes aux moines. Des centaines de chariots à boeuf viennent de la campagne et les célèbres potiers du nord de Mandalay viennent vendre les jarres qu'ils ont descendus en radeau de bambou sur l'Irrawaddy pendant une semaine. Un des grands festivals de la Birmanie.

Nouvel An Bouddhiste : Une bataille d'eau à l'échelle d'un pays. Très bon enfant, un peu fatigant au bout de 4 jours de bataille incessante, mais c'est un vrai plaisir et vous ne le ferez nul par ailleurs.
