From Kalaw to Myin Saine Gone village in the Shan mountain
day return
Walking time : 6 hours of walk - small hills
Best time to come : October to january - correct in February - very dry and hot in March-April-May - slippering during the monson (but doable).

After your breakfast departure from your hotel at ( 8:00 am ) by car for a 10 mm drive to reach the junction of the trekking way. After 30 minutes walk, you will cross the rain forest and reservoir. Near the reservoir you can see the various kinds of tropical birds. After the forest and a 2 hours walk you will reach Hin Khar Gone (Palaung) village. On the way you can see the cheroot leaf, Orange trees and some tea leaf garden. One hour walk you can see the railway road and after cross the railway road you reach to the Myin Sine Gone ( Danu ) village. Lunch at Myin Sine Gone and excursion in village If you lucky , you can see the cherry flowers, between December and February. At that time so many cherry flower are blooming on the trees. After lunch go back to Kalaw by another way,( 30min: ) later you may be reach to railway station of Myin Taik. ( From that station you can take the train to go to Yangon ( or ) Mandalay.)And than proceed to the Kalaw( 21/2hrs: ) walk. |
