Probably the most charming hotel in Myanmar or at least in Yangon. 2 hectares garden in the best quarter, a beautiful colony style house, a very good French restaurant. Some rooms have been renovated in 2007 and are in good condition, othes rooms seriously need a renovation. Choose it for the colonial charm, garden, and atmosphere.
Prices rise sharply for 2008-2009 seasons.

Kandawgyi Palace

A very beautiful hotel with an architecture that recalls the Burmese royal palaces .
Excellent localization near the lake and the Shwedagon pagoda, very beautiful garden and very beautiful swimming pool. Superior rooms have under renovation and offer a good value for the price. Suites are big, and offer a very very good value for the price. If you perfer to have a big nice room and you are not so focused on the garden or the restaurant... it is definitively a very good choice.

Good quality hotel apartment (with kitchen). Nicel swimming pool, gym club.
Rooms are big, a little far from the city center and no garden. Long stay price are interesting or prices for familly appartment are very good also ( 2 rooms with kitchen, lounge, 2 bathroom....).

Dusit Inya Lake Hôtel

Located on the Inya lake,absolutely quiet, facing the sunset on the lake. Very very relaxing place. The architecture is little too "cold" (it is not at all a charming hotel) but it is an excellent 4 stars hotel , with a big swimming pool facing the lake, all services of a big hotel (gym, business center, internet). A little far from the city center.
