Choose and book your hotel in Myanmar (Burma) with a local travel agency

We have tested since 1996 a lot of hotels in Myanmar, our friends and customers too. The object of this heading is to give you an outline of the various possible choices.
In all the cases, we will deliver our personal opinion to you, completely subjective, on a purely personal basis.

As soon as possible, we will put on line the most photographs possible concerning all the hotels than we refer (leave us a little time to make the pictures). At this time, the luxury hotels are advantaged as we can get pictures more easily (they have everything ready).
Do not hesitate to contact us if you may need a precise information on such or such hotel.

2007-2009 season

2007, 2008 and early 2009 were far to be a good season, with tourist arrival really low compare to the previous years. Nevertheless, some specific times of the year are still book in advance : Xmas - new year, Novembre, February.

Booking 2009-2010

To be perfectly honest, at today (may 2009) the next season looks to be a little quiet again....
But some hotels (or even balloon over Bagan) are still applying some "Peak Season" prices, like the Governor's in Yangon which has now a special peak season for November.

It is very likely that this year, like the years before, the best hotels will be fully booked for :

- Novembre :
- Xmas - 10 January : especially at the Ngapali beach.
- Middle February.

As usual, hotels at the golden rock, especially in novembre and december are often fully booked in advance.

Update 17-09-2009

Even if the number of booking is far from the level of 2007, it is recovering and some places start to be busy with waiting list or even some hotels fully booked.

Xmas - New Year : Ngapali beach hotels (especially the best ones) start to be quite ful, Inle Lac and golden rock
Novembre : Inle Lake and golden rock.

If you are planning to go to Ngapali beach for Xmas, or if you want to go the golden rock or a nice charming hotel at Inle Lake, it is better to start to seriously organise your journey in Myanmar, or even better that to proceed with bookings

You are in holiday not to lost time to find a good hotel but to relax and enjoy.

- We have already tested the hotels that we propose to you. We can to really speak you about them (the best rooms, the decoration, the noise, the site...).

- We will tell you why we like this cheap hotel compare to the "luxury" one.

- Obviously, we have removed the hotels which do not correspond to our quality standards or which our customers do not like.

- Our prices are more completive than the price you can get directly from the hotel.

- Your booking is confirmed even if your arrival is very late in the evening.

- For some hotels, you need to confirm you booking a long time in advance (Inle, Golden Rock).

- Most of the hotels wants that a local travel agency confirms and guarantees the booking. It is almost impossible for you to give a guaranty, especially now that the hotel can not accept your credit card.

- Hotels are changing more quickly than paper guide.
